Miriam Hassan was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Alberta, where she studied Linguistics and East Asian studies. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in 2022 and started the Radio and Television program at NAIT in January 2023.
Miriam is currently in her third semester at NAIT and hopes to pursue a career in the film industry as an editor. She had the opportunity to work at the 2023 JUNOS as an accreditation production assistant during her first semester.
In her spare time, Miriam loves to sew her clothes and craft various projects. When she’s not hiding away in her sewing room, she can be found playing piano, baking cookies, or learning new languages.
