Nolan Saxinger Hehir was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a student in NAIT’s Media Communications and Production – Television and Media Production program. His interest in media began at a young age, making short films on any camera he could get his hands on and later producing his school's video announcements throughout junior high.
He has further developed his skills through the Video Storytelling Online course from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in 2022 and the Vancouver Film School Summer Intensive in Film Production in 2025.
Outside of school, Nolan volunteers through scouting, where he is a certified first aider. In his free time, he enjoys reading, film photography and developing new editing skills. He has a strong interest in researching niche and underreported stories and hopes to pursue a career in journalism rooted in honesty, integrity and meaningful storytelling that hopefully causes positive change.
