Ana Kostyrko is a third-semester student in NAIT’s Media Communications and Production program, focusing on television production and behind-the-camera work.
Originally from Ukraine, Ana developed an interest in visual storytelling and journalism after moving to Canada in late 2022.
After graduating from Strathcona High School in 2024, photography and sports broadcasting became a focus, with hands-on industry experience beginning that summer.
Skills and knowledge gained helped launch AFH Productions Co., a media partnership with a friend, offering photo and video services for events around Edmonton.
She continues to work across the industry through freelance projects.
Ana speaks Ukrainian, Russian, English and Polish, while also learning German.
