Mattias Kidd is a second-year Media Communications student at NAIT, from Sturgeon County, Alberta. With a motivated passion for hockey, Mattias developed his love for media early, taking part in a television media program in Morinville, where he began sharpening his on-air and production skills, then graduating from St Albert Catholic High School in 2024.
With sports at the center of everything he does, Mattias has built over three years of hockey play-by-play experience, beginning by volunteering with the Gibbons Pioneers. Now he's in the BCHL working with the Sherwood Crusaders. He also works for the Sherwood Park Reign and Fury. His dedication to the craft has also earned him opportunities to call two upcoming provincial tournaments U15 AAA and U18 AA, further growing his experience in high-level competition.
Outside of school, Mattias can be found dissecting sports, playing hockey on the outdoor rink and hanging out with his furry best friend Vlad.
