Omran Wahidy was born in Moscow, Russia but was raised in Edmonton since his family immigrated to Canada at the age of two. Growing up, he loved sports and competition, which transformed into a passion for hockey.
Omran's educational journey began at MacEwan University where he spent two years there, but later transitioned to the NAIT Radio & Television program to pursue sports broadcasting. Since switching over, Omran had the opportunity to participate in and help TSN with the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships, where he met and worked alongside industry leaders and conducted interviews for Team Slovakia and Team Austria.
In his spare time, Omran loves going outside and taking in the nature. When the Alberta air is too brisk to go outside, he usually plays video games but also appreciates his downtime to relax.
