Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Eric Calhoun is currently a third-semester Television student in the Media Communications and Production program. A 2023 graduate of Jasper Place High School, Eric is passionate about storytelling and broadcasting, with a particular interest in sports media.
Sports have always played a central role in Eric’s life. He participated in soccer and martial arts at a young age, but his main focus was on competitive community basketball and baseball. During high school, he was actively involved in leadership initiatives, diversity groups, and volunteer efforts, helping to promote school events and cultural celebrations.
Outside of his studies, Eric enjoys watching sports with his family, exploring his city, and spending time outdoors.
With a strong passion and deep knowledge of the sports world, Eric aims to build a career in sports media. He is eager to continue learning, highly collaborative, and values teamwork—qualities that make him a strong contributor in any professional setting.
