Katie is a current third semester RATV student at NAIT. She was born in St. Albert and has lived in Morinville her whole life.
Her passion for the media industry began during her time volunteering with the broadcasting team at Sturgeon Composite High School. She was a part of a small team who helped kickoff getting the broadcasting team off its feet. Taking on roles both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Throughout junior high and high school Katie also had a love for doing drama shows and directing, which gave her the confidence and a passion for presenting.
She has been working with Bell Media's promotion team for over a year, managing tasks at remote locations and effectively communicating with listeners. Additionally, she serves as the Social Media Coordinator and Video Presenter for Prairie Auctions, creating graphics, images, and bringing their YouTube videos to life.
This is how she fell in love with the broadcasting industry and is now working towards her goal of becoming part of a production team, with hope of making films, mini documentaries, and creative skits.
