Taya Gargus was born and raised in Edson, Alberta. After graduating high school Taya moved to the big city of Edmonton to join the Radio and Television program at NAIT as a now third semester.
Growing up playing different sports, she did a number of years coaching gymnastics back in Edson. Taya had volunteered for her hometowns race after she stopped racing in 2021.
Taya would like to get into crime or sports broadcasting. If front of camera doesn't work out, Taya hopes to work behind the camera and help film documentaries or more.
She has many interests in sports, true crime documentaries, and outdoor activities. Taya would like to stay close to family as they are a big part of her life.
