Madi Gerrior (Jerr-Wah) is a current third semester Television and Media Production student at NAIT. Originally from Saint John, NB, she relocated to Fort McMurray, Alta. in 2014, where she spent a decade before making the move to Edmonton in 2024 for her studies.
Her interest in the news industry sparked during high school at École McTavish, where she took part in a newscasting elective, helping out with script writing and anchoring.
Madi also has a background in theatre, with musicals, drama class and volunteering backstage. Her volunteer work includes spotlight operator and mic technician at Keyano Theatre, quiet room attendant at the Fort McMurray Pride Festival, and tour guide during NAIT’s 2024 Open House.
When she’s not on campus, Madi enjoys spending time with friends, belting out karaoke tunes and diving into her favourite TV shows and movies.
