Kiera Lyons

Kiera Lyons

Kiera grew up in Ryley AB, a small town of 400 an hour east of Edmonton. Growing up in a very athletic family, Kiera found her love of all athletics at a very young age. Every season brought around a new sport including, fastball, baseball, hockey and every school sport Ryley offered and she loved them all.

As she got older her passion for basketball stood out and she pursued her basketball career; first in the ACAC with the Augustana Vikings for two years and then in the CIS with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for her finally three. She graduated with an Arts an Sciences degree in Psychology and Biology.

She currently does the colour and play-by-play for the NAIT Ooks volleyball, basketball and hockey and helps out with the women's basketball team as well.

In her free time she loves to coach, play sports, watch movies, sing and spend time with family.

Her passion for sports and story telling lead her to NAIT and NAIT NewsWatch where she hopes to turn her passion into her career.

You can catch her talking all things sports and news on NAIT NewsWatch on CTV Two, Saturdays @ 6:00pm
