A third-semester Television student at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Maria Mena was born and raised in Angeles City, Philippines. Maria developed a strong interest in television broadcasting after participating in a journalism competition in her home country. She has long loved filming and editing and is learning new skills and knowledge in her program, deepening her passion, and hoping to get into the broadcasting or film production industry someday.
In her free time, she watches videos about camera or phone film techniques, reads Japanese and Korean comics and watches anime, movies or series. She speaks Filipino and English.
