Time to Lock-in. Discover the best study spots around the NAIT campus

By on April 22, 2026

The dreaded finals season is upon us. It’s time to lock in and ace your exams. Is your house too loud? Friends distracting you in class? Here are some of the best study spots to keep you focused and guaranteed to get you that A.

#1. The CAT Building.

The Feltham Center is five stories of study goodness. There’s plenty of space and way too many chairs for you to find your spot and get to work. The “Glass Box” is home to a Starbucks and a Tim Hortons, so no need to worry about falling asleep with all that caffeine available.

The building is also home to a Subway and other snacks to keep you energized through your hard work. And when you need a breather, there is no lack of windows for you to look out and see the great views of good ol’ Edmonton.

#2. NAIT Library.

Some people work better in a crowded environment, but for those who need absolute focus, the library has your name written all over it, or would it be typed all over it? Who knows, you get the book pun.

Located in the A building, the library is home to all your study needs. Whether you like to study old-school and hit the books or prefer the World Wide Web, the library has both course-related books and PCs with monitors to make sure that your studying goes smoothly. Put your headphones on and try not to fall asleep. Spoiler alert: It’s very quiet in there. Shhh!

#3. The NAITrium.

Teamwork makes the dream work! The NAITrium is four stories of meeting rooms and open desks for you to collaborate with your team. Meeting rooms often come with TV’s and/or whiteboards for important presentations and mid-study doodles.

The NAITrium is packed with scenic views and good vibes to keep you motivated, like multiple live plants and skylights to make sure you don’t get bored while looking around. You could hear a pin drop in this place; that’s how quiet it is. And if you ask around, not many people know or have heard of the NAITrium, keeping it an underrated study spot with plenty of room to keep you concentrated and working hard.

Pack your notes, laptops and energy drinks and get to work! Don’t let those finals scare you. As long as you use these spots and study hard, you have nothing to worry about. Don’t walk away from that paper feeling overwhelmed; walk away feeling confident.
