The end of Hi-Light Fest 2026

April 12th was the end of the fourth annual Hi-Light Fest in Edmonton.

Hi-Light Festival is a music festival hosted in April. The festival is organized by Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, with the intent of gathering and showing off local Edmonton bands at familiar venues, who appreciate the bands just as much as the crowd.

This year, Hi-Light fest lasted 5 days from April 8th to April 12th, hosting 6 shows across 4 venues with a total of 31 bands playing.

The shows, when they played, where they played and who played at each show went as follows:

First day: April 8th – Balibar

Second day: April 9th – The Buckingham

Third day: April 10th – Dive Bar

Fourth day (2:30 P.M. – 5:45 P.M.): April 11th – The Aviary

  • Mellow The Lion
  • Chic Chameleon
  • Rachel Gleddie, along with Esther Forseth
  • Del Boy Druid

Fourth day (7:00 P.M. – 11:45 P.M.): April 11th – The Aviary

  • Magpie Mill
  • Vanity Hour
  • Trick of The Light
  • Greenwing
  • Refrijerator
  • Pails/Buckets

Fifth day: April 12th – The Aviary
