Edmonton’s diversity shines in its Food

By on April 22, 2026

All through Edmonton are incredible restaurants serving food from a ton of different cultures, but if you’re new to Edmonton, you would have no idea. So, for all the new arrivals at NAIT, or for anyone who needs a new place to go this weekend, these are some of my top picks for places to eat.

Phở Hoàn Pasteur

First up is my personal favourite, Phở Hoàn Pasteur, located on Kingsway, right across from the Alberta Aviation Museum. Specializing in Vietnamese food, Phở Hoàn Pasteur has an amazing selection of dishes. They mostly serve phở but also have vermicelli bowls and grilled meat plates served with rice. The portions are great, and it’s a great price as well. If you can only go to one place on this list, I would strongly recommend Phở Hoàn Pasteur.

Menya Mori

Located on 124th Street. Menya Mori serves Japanese-style ramen. The restaurant itself is small, with only half a dozen tables and some chairs at the bar, but despite its small size, the flavour each bowl has is unbelievable. It tends to be a little more expensive than the other ramen restaurants in Edmonton, but the quality is second to none. With a rotating special and consistently mouth-watering bowls, Menya Mori has all your ramen needs covered.

Sicilian Pasta Kitchen

If Asian food isn’t for you, then there are still plenty of great places in Edmonton, like the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen. The location I usually go to is on the southside, on Saddleback Road. With a wide array of rich pastas, full-bodied wines and unlimited fresh, warm bread, you’ll leave satisfied, guaranteed. Though it is expensive at about $30 per person, Sicilian Pasta Kitchen has all your date night needs covered.

With all that being said, I fully encourage you to go and discover all Edmonton has to offer. From the hidden gems of Chinatown to the Denny’s two blocks from the pub, Edmonton is one of the best places in the world to get a meal.
