Cool things to do near NAIT this summer

By on April 22, 2026

There are so many fun things to do near NAIT and around Edmonton this summer! I’m going to talk about some of my favourites.

The giant baseball bat: Have you ever noticed that huge baseball bat on the corner of 97 Street and 118 Avenue? If you have never looked at it up close, you should because it can actually rotate! It has been there for over 20 years and is over 50 feet tall. Only a short walk from NAIT, you can go see it in person and go for a spin on it!

Rundle Park: Rundle Park is my favourite park in Edmonton. It has many awesome things to do all year round. It has beautiful trails, sports fields, picnic tables, fire pits and even a golf course! In the winter it has toboggan hills and an iceway to skate on.

Oilers watch party: The Oilers have made it into the playoffs once again! Did you know that the Oilers Entertainment Group hosts free watch parties in the Ice District Fan Park every playoff game? They have live DJs, food trucks, beer and more!

K Days: Located at Northlands, K Days happens every summer in July for 10 days. It has a huge midway with every ride and carnival game you can think of, with endless amounts of food trucks as well. Check out the recently renovated Klondike Park with craft beer gardens and live DJs! While you are there, check out the main stage where they have a big concert every evening. Then, cap your night off with the fireworks.

Those are some of my favourite things to do near NAIT during the summer. I hope you try some of them and have a great summer!
