Balenciaga Neo Classic Bag overview

Balenciaga’s newest bag is a nod to their most beloved bags created by Nicholas Ghesquiere over the last 20 years. Designer, Demna Gvasalia, kept the classic features Balenciaga is known for such as the leather braided handle and the extended leather zipper pulls. The Neo Classic does have several a modern updates, never done before by Balenciaga.
Silhouette
The Neo Classic Bag is firmly structured and will hold its shape perfectly without being stuffed. The trapezoid shape is another new element to the design.
Sizes
Like we have seen with several other Balenciaga collections, the Neo Classic Bag comes in three size options.
The dimensions for the large are 13.3″L x 21.2″W x 9.4″D making it on the larger side in terms of an everyday bag but would be perfect as a carry on bag for flying. The large is the only of the three sizes to exclusively have top handles as opposed to the other sizes which offer top handles and a crossbody strap. The large retails for $3,560 CAD.
The size below large is small. The small comes in at 12.9″H x 8.2″W x 6″D, making it the best everyday option. There are no dividers or pockets inside however, the firm structure makes it easy to see inside and keep organized without pockets. The small retails for $3,110 CAD.
The most anticipated size option for collectors is the mini. With dimensions of 5.5″L x 8.6″W x 4.3″D, the mini won’t hold much but if you’re looking for an accessory over a bag then the mini is a great option. The mini retails for $2,705 CAD.
Colour
The colour options vary for each size. As with most collections, the larger sizes come in more standard options and the mini is where you can find the bold colourful choices.
The large comes in two options; a black smooth calfskin with black matte hardware and a white Spazzolato calfskin with aged silver hardware.
There are three colour options for the small. The first option is a black, semi-shiny crocodile embossed calfskin with black matte hardware. The other two options are a smooth calfskin with black matte hardware coming in either dark grey or black.
The mini offers eight choices. The black, semi-shiny crocodile embossed calfskin and the smooth calfskin in black and white available in the large and small are also options for the mini. Colours exclusive to the mini are red, blue, dark green, orange and black with aged gold hardware.
