College is already stressful. Your daily commute is the last thing you want to worry about. NAIT is located in downtown Edmonton. As such, there are many ways to travel to and from.
NAIT students have three great ways to get to NAIT’s campus. There are the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), the Light Rail Transit (LRT), and finally, driving to school.
The LRT is a very popular option among students for the following reasons…
> Cuts through traffic and goes underground. It also speeds up the designated Route to NAIT.
> It is reasonably priced, as it can be included in your tuition with NAIT’s OneCard.
> Easily accessible from many areas of the city.
At the beginning of your semester, you may purchase a U-Pass for $180, which covers four Months of unlimited transit. Pay attention to daily train schedules and unexpected delays. The Metro LRT line includes a convenient stop directly at NAIT.
Driving is another popular option for the following reasons…
> Can be more comfortable as you are in your own space.
> It’s convenient as you don’t have to wait for a train.
> If you carry a lot of stuff, you can put it in your car until you have to use it.
You can buy a Flex pass through the Honk Mobile app to get a parking pass if you would like to drive to NAIT.
Follow the instructions on the app to get acquainted with the mobile app and get parking at NAIT. Please be aware of heavy morning traffic on your commute to school and leave early so you have plenty of time to walk after parking in your preferred parking lot at NAIT.
Any option that you choose is a great way to get to NAIT’s campus and enjoy a great day at school.
In my opinion, the LRT is the way to go, especially with the price of gas these days. This is convenient, easy to use and well within most students’ budgets. If you choose to drive, parking at NAIT is available with your student parking pass.
