Stuff a Bus kicks off in Edmonton with Stuff a Cruiser

By Brianna Boucher on November 26, 2025

Some Edmonton peace officers were parked outside Edmonton Save-On-Foods locations in Namao, Magrath and Stadium on Nov. 26 looking for donations for the 31st annual Stuff a Bus campaign.

“Stuff a Cruiser is our annual food-bank drive done in partnership with Edmonton Transit’s Stuff a Bus campaign,” said Tom O’Neill, Edmonton peace officer. “We’re at three Save-On-Foods locations today, as well as Thursday and Friday at the end of November, trying to fill the cruiser with food donations to support the food bank.”

The Stuff a Bus campaign collects non-perishable food and donations for Edmonton’s Food Bank. ETS buses will collect donations at 16 different Save-On-Foods stores on Nov. 29.

Since 1995, the campaign has collected 625,000 kilograms of food and $535,000 in cash donations.

“We see how quickly the donations we receive leave the food bank,” O’Neill said. “Last year, everything we collected was gone in less than 24 hours, so the need is definitely there.”

An LRT car will be parked at Century Park station on Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to collect donations. On Nov. 30, LRT cars will be set up at Clareview station and the Mill Woods stop during the same hours.

Edmonton’s Food Bank is accepting cash donations for this years campaign.
