Your Central Alberta summer music festival guide

Calling all music lovers, it’s time to get your tarps and sunscreen out because festival season is upon us. 

Here in the capital city, we’re known as “Canada’s Festival City.” With over 50 unique festivals to choose from annually here in Edmonton, not including the festivals that are just a road trip away, there are plenty of good times to be made in between semesters.

Live music events are making a huge comeback after 2020 and are finally nearing pre-pandemic levels.

Not only can you listen to your favourite artists, but you’re also a part of a vibrant community that brings these festivals to life. Alberta’s festival season is year-round, peaking in the summertime, with more events popping up in the off-seasons.
