What you might not know about your NAIT OneCard

By Arthur Foster on April 23, 2025

The NAIT OneCard, we all have one, but are you getting the most out of yours? The OneCard isn’t just a chunk of plastic left behind the day after orientation. It is the ticket to redeem many of the perks and benefits that you are entitled to as a NAIT student.

Aside from being your official school identification, the OneCard gives you entry to a variety of facilities around campus. Library Services, The Fitness Weight Centre, Gymnasium and NAIT Arena are all accessible with your OneCard. You can even use your OneCard off-campus to gain access to the Grant MacEwan Swimming Pool.

If you’re in need of printing out any documents or designs for your school projects, your OneCard also allows you to use the variety of available printers around campus. However, fees do apply when using the printers, so it’s best you load your OneCard up before you go.

But what I’ve found to be the most helpful and practical use of the NAIT OneCard is the U-Pass. The U-Pass allows students to ride public transit in the following locations for a far cheaper cost than you would otherwise:

  • Beaumont
  • Edmonton
  • Fort Saskatchewan
  • Leduc
  • Spruce Grove
  • St. Albert
  • Strathcona County

As long as you are taking at least one single-credit course, you qualify for the U-Pass, and as a matter of fact, have already paid for it.

Now that you know what your OneCard does for you, go out there and make the most of what is being offered to you as a student on campus. Leave your Arc Card at home and enjoy the ride.
