Quiet study spaces becoming more in demand as exam season approaches

By Tiger Justice on April 9, 2025

NAIT students need more quiet study areas as the semester comes to a close. Here are some personal favourite study spaces for those seeking a quiet area to focus.

• Library
• NAITrium (H Wing, main floor)
• Various study spots in the CAT building
• Main areas of the HP building

The recently opened quiet study room in the CAT Study Commons is also a great place to focus on getting work and studying done. Don’t do group work in this area, so it can remain noise-free for individual students.

Various private study rooms are also available for booking online. These rooms are especially perfect for those working on group projects, or people looking for a routine place to host their study groups.

The end of semester can be a busy time around the school, so be on the lookout for any other available workspaces. These might even include cafeterias, such as the Common Market, Fresh Express, or Bytes.

Remember to remain courteous and respectful in common study areas, as other students depend on quiet and limited distractions to focus on their own projects. This also means to leave your study space tidy and free of waste for the next person who will need it.

The end of the semester is a stressful time, and while it’s important to get that extra studying in it’s also important to take time for leisure and relaxation for yourself!
