NAITs Food Markets: satisfying your hunger

By Ethan Isted on April 23, 2025

NAIT’s Common Food Market is your gateway to a world of handcrafted products that showcase the skills and creativity of our culinary professionals here at NAIT.

The Common Food Market ranges for over a wide variety of foods. The food ranges from burgers to sandwiches, to pizza and drinks. The Market also provides vegetarian and vegan options and so much more. The common food market is also a great place for students to eat and take study breaks with friends.

At the Artisanal Food Market NAIT offers a diverse of products, including:

  • Freshly prepared and packaged meat, chicken, fish, and cheese freshly prepared in the Meat Cutting and Merchandising Program
  • Baked goods from Baking and Pastry Art students
  • Culinary creations from Culinary Arts students and cook apprentices
  • Products from local businesses owned by alumni who have graduated from NAIT’s Culinary Arts program and Food Studies Program

These offerings not only provide high-quality food options but also serve as a practical learning experience for students, allowing them to apply their skills in a real-world setting.

Whether you’re looking for quality ingredients, ready-made meals, or unique local products, the Artisanal Food Market at NAIT offers a convenient and affordable option that supports student education and showcases local talent.

The Artisanal Food Market is more than just a place to shop; it’s an educational platform where students gain hands-on experience in food preparation, customer service, and retail operations.

The Artisanal Food Market is open during regular academic operations, from mid-September to mid-April. The Market is closed on breaks including Winter Break and Spring Reading Week.
