NAIT Library Services offers essential tools for students

The NAIT Library Services offer a wealth of tools for students to take advantage of! Whether you’re signing out a book or writing an essay, the NAIT Library has you covered this exam season with the following services:
- Writing Centre
- Makerspace
- Loanable equipment
- Bookable study rooms
- Project printing

The Writing Centre
Find the NAIT Writing Centre close to the library in room U213 – Main Campus. You’ll be able to book a writing consultation on the Library Services website for help with any writing assignments you’re working on! If you just have a quick question about your writing, tutors might be available for a brief drop-in session.
Makerspace
Makerspace has all kinds of useful services you can take advantage of for your projects. 3D printing, water jet cutting, as well as loanable technology, are a few of the various solutions offered. For smaller tasks, there is also an assortment of loanable technology you can sign out as well.
Loanable Equipment
NAIT’s Library also has a large inventory of loanable equipment you can sign out for various needs you might have. There’s GoPros, fitness equipment, VR headsets and plenty in between.
Laptops can be offered on week-long loans or semester-long loans. Applications for the semester-long loans for spring/summer will officially open on April 15th!
Study Spaces
Different kinds of study spaces are also available for those needing a quiet place to study on campus. If you’re working with a team, the collaboration rooms offer a large space for your group. Each room is suited to seat up to eight people, with one room suited for 12. The rooms also offer display technology that you can hook your devices up to so you can get your team’s PowerPoint on the big screen!
Solo study booths are also available both in the Library Study Lounge and at CAT Computer Commons. They’re available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day except for stat holidays. You’ll be able to book back-to-back hour timeslots if necessary!
