Mature students can find a community at NAIT

Going back to school can be daunting.

These thoughts and many more of self-doubt are swirling through the minds of students as they enter the halls of NAIT for the first time. Luckily, they aren’t alone and neither are you.

NAIT has a sprawling campus across North-Central Edmonton, serving over 34,000 students. Entering the front door, you’d never know. There are many aspects of Ooks life that people will try to tell you are the best. From the NAITSA events & workshops to the award-winning athletic programs, there is so much to choose from. However, to many, the best part of NAIT Student Life is the community.

NAIT’s small program sizes allow students to get to know one another on a personal level. There is no sinking feeling in your stomach when assigned to find a partner in a sea of 200 strangers. Your classmates become a second family that you can rely on and trust.

The inside jokes, lunch hours spent laughing and after-school drinks at the Nest quickly become a sacred part of your daily routine.

Even when you venture out of your classroom into the main campus, you’ll find other students more than happy to help you find your way or participate in a survey for class.

Going back to school can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Believe in yourself, take that next step and find your home away from home in the halls of NAIT.
