How our cookies campaign kicked off

By Colin Labinowicz on December 5, 2025

Yesterday we blasted off to a smashing success with our street level marketing. In this activity we managed to not only reach our goal, but succeeded in gaining viewership and awareness to the NAIT Newswatch TikTok account!

Our campaign’s main goal was to also spread appreciation and we thought “what better way to show we appreciate each other than to share cookies with our classmates?”. Well it seemed like everyone else agreed as we not only raised our followers by 38, but we had students approaching us from being referred through other students. Showing that students not only value their fellow student body, but are excited by the opportunity to give back to their class in giving others a chance to show their appreciation as well.

Our campaign began with the idea of bringing love and belonging to the students of NAIT, and cookies were the perfect way to build on that idea. Our winner Talayna was a perfect example of appreciation and generosity, seeing as she could not be present for the delivery of the prize but was happy to have the class still celebrate her appreciation for them. As the semester comes to an end, the pressure of final projects has NAIT students preoccupied. Providing them with the opportunity to share cookies with their classmates gives them the chance to spread some joy and community among the NAIT student body.

The 40 cookies (a Common Market delight) were baked and sealed in a lovely display case. Made with the love of our cookie sponsor, Eat at NAIT (powered by Chartwells), providing us with the cookies that brought students together. To put it all together we shared this contest onto our TikTok, this is where you come in and made your entries into the contest!

“I want to thank all your students that I have worked with for continuing to reach out and allowing eat AT NAIT powered by Chartwells to be a part of their projects. It means so much to us. I look forward to the next project and the great work the students are doing. Cheers”-Gloria Booth, BTech Manager & Food and Beverage Campus and Digital Services.

In the upcoming semesters we aim to show our appreciation in many other ways, and we hope you do too. So keep your eye on the NAIT Newswatch social media!
