With Christmas coming up in 29 days, some Edmontonians may be searching for some fun and festive activities to do this season. Luckily, there are many fun, affordable things to get the Christmas magic started.
A fan favorite, Candy Cane Lane is a beautiful Christmas tradition involving Edmonton’s Crestwood neighborhood- simply grab some hot chocolate, bring some non-perishable food items to support the Food Bank, and marvel at all the beautiful Christmas lights.
Running from November 29th to December 1st, the Edmonton Christmas Market is a Fort Edmonton favorite. Offering soulful live performances, beautiful festive lights and decorations, a carousel ride, food, and many vendors for last-minute Christmas shopping, the market is an excellent way to support local vendors as well as participate in a fun Christmas activity with the community. Tickets can be purchased now.
The Magic of Lights event, by Canadian Tire is a fun way to see the beautiful Christmas lights. With 2.7 kilometers of raceway covered in over 2 million LED lights, the Magic of Lights event is a fun experience for everyone this season, enjoyed from the comfort of your own car. The event even has the option to take a limo or bus through the raceway! Running from November 20th to January 3rd, tickets cost around $35.
With Christmas just around the corner, hopefully some of these fun activities for the whole family will help get Edmontonians into the holiday spirit!
