Five local places to eat in Leduc
By Admin User on November 10, 2021
Leduc is only 15 minutes away from the south side of Edmonton, and it is a perfect place to have a getaway from the big city nearby. With many local restaurants to choose from, I wanted to share some of my favourite places to eat out.
Ryan’s Drive In is a small restaurant near Leduc’s main street with some of the best food I’ve ever had. Whether you want a burger or a rib dinner, they have something for everyone to enjoy. My favourite sandwich I’ve ever had is their Clubhouse Triple Decker sandwich. They also offer a vast selection of creamy milkshakes and the best donair in Leduc, in my opinion.
Rural Routes Brewing Company is Leduc’s only local beer brewery. They have a massive selection of beers to try with many different flavours made from local ingredients. If you aren’t a fan of beer like me, no worries, they have a full menu of delicious food made from local ingredients. Their garlic mayo for the fries is to die for, and their chicken burger is my personal favourite. They also have things from mac and cheese to homemade pretzels.
Prestigio Bakery and Bistro is a bakery that makes European pastries and drinks. They have some gorgeous cakes that you almost don’t want to eat… almost, then you try some, and you can’t believe you haven’t tried it before. Not to forget the homemade sandwiches and freshly brewed coffee they serve. If you want a treat, be sure to stop by.
Nitza’s Pizza, a family-run pizza place that also has a store in Sherwood Park. Some of the best pizzas in Alberta are made here, along with other great food to try. Do you like fried pickles? They make them. They also have great two-for-one deals to get the most out of your pizza.
And last but not least, Phat Tonys is a breakfast and lunch sandwich shop that makes not your average grilled cheese. They have a signature sandwich every month and are constantly creating new ways to amplify your grilled cheese. They also have make-your-own sandwiches, daily soup specials, grab-and-go treats, etc. Every lunch sandwich you order comes with a pickle. Their breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and tomato is my favourite.
They are close to Leduc’s main street, perfect to walk around and enjoy all the little shops with so much to offer while you indulge in your great food.
