Clubs at NAIT are the best way to meet new people and try new things

By Kacey Ericson on April 23, 2025

Clubs at NAIT are a great way to get out of your comfort zone and try something new without having to pay for it. Clubs are also great places to meet new people on campus. Some club events are funded by the fees you pay to NAITSA but those fees have to be paid no matter what so you might as well make use of them.

As we approach the end of the semester, most clubs at NAIT have stopped running their regularly scheduled events. Here are a few clubs and events that you can go check out before the semester is over.

The Gamers of Dungeons & Dragons hosts gaming sessions regularly from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Despite the name, the group plays more than just D&D. They also have games like Pathfinder and Call of Cthulhu. The club also encourages you to bring your own games to the club.

The Quiz Bowl Club hosts weekly practice sessions where anyone of any skill level can come and sharpen their trivia skills and learn new facts. The club also participates in and organizes regional tournaments for those looking for a more competitive challenge.

The Paintball Club is holding their final event of the semester, End of Year Paintball, on April 26th, which is a great opportunity to try paintball free of charge. I have personally participated in an event hosted by the paintball club, and it was an awesome opportunity to try a new thing.

NAIT has a club for just about anyone, and if you haven’t gotten a chance to check out a club you are interested in this semester, there’s always next semester.
