By Kael Loubardias on December 10, 2025

Have you been getting swamped by assignments, anxious over labs, or wondering what’s gonna happen to you next after a challenging quiz you just wrote? The Film Club at NAIT invites you to unwind and come watch one of the most fan-favoured classic Christmas movies, Home Alone. It takes place on December 10th at 4 p.m. at the Dow Theatre in the Feltham Centre.

Everyone is allowed to come and enjoy this spectacle of a film, with people such as students, alumni, staff, and popcorn lovers, to have a couple of chuckles with your friends. If you are feeling homesick or far from your loved ones, this is a movie that is a feel-good family movie.

Home Alone focuses on an eight-year-old male named Kevin who outmaneuvers two burglars while his family goes to Paris for the holidays and accidentally leaves him behind. It’s a heartwarming reunion when Kevin’s family returns on Christmas Day, and the burglars are ultimately thwarted. Macaulay Culkin, who plays Kevin, does an amazing job in dealing with daily duties that adults have to work with on an everyday basis. Being left alone so abruptly, he adapts to the shock very well and starts to maneuver through his day-to-day freedom. Then the iconic “hands on face” screaming into the mirror scene was born.  As you watch this performance of Kevin being ‘Home Alone,’ this film is packed with:

  • Comedy
  • Family
  • Resourcefulness
  • Independence
  • Dilemma
