Avi’s review of the 2025 JUNO nominees

This Sunday, March 30th, is the annual JUNO Awards. Let’s focus on a few nominees and what their nominations are.

- The Weeknd
Let’s consolidate on three categories: top artist of the year, top album of the year and top single of the year.
BBNO$ is starting with one nomination, with a previous total of six. This year’s nomination is the TikTok JUNO Fan Choice Award.
Shawn Mendes, won 13 awards previously, is coming into the year with four nominations: Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Top Single of the Year.
2015 was the year Shawn Mendes got nominated for the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award. Most recently winning the International Achievement Award.
An award from the JUNOS for Canadian artists who have made charts globally.
Tate McRae is coming into 2025 with five nominations and two previous awards.
This year, she’s got the following: Top artist of the year, top album of the year, Top single of the year, Top Pop album of the year and the TikTok JUNO Fan Choice Award.
THINK LATER, totalling 14 songs in the album, contains one of which is the top song of the year. exes, which came out as a single on 2023 on Nov 2nd.
The Weeknd has four nominations this year: Top single top artist, top songwriter of the year and the TikTok Fan Choice Award.
The Songwriter of the Year nomination comes in with these songs, Dancing in the Flames, Timeless, São Paulo.
This award is being presented by the Society of Composers, Authors, and Music Publishers.
