A quick trip to the mountains is easy with NAITSA’S help

Edmonton is set to receive at least 10-20 centimeters of snow in the past 24 hours, one can only expect that the mountains have received the same if not more. Sunshine Village in Banff reported that they received 14 centimetres of snow over night and Marmot Basin in Jasper received 19 centimetres of snow over night.
Lately the mountains received a large dump of snow, with it coming so late in the ski season, students who want to have a quick little reset on a weekend before finals, can do so with a trip to the mountains at a reasonable price.
Through NAITSA students can get lift tickets to a couple of places:
-Marmot Basin for only $113 dollars.
-Sunshine Village for only $130 dollars.
Many people who live in Edmonton often do a day trip to Marmot Basin because it is relatively close, with it only being a 4 hour and 30-minute drive. For example, a couple of weeks ago I made the trip to Marmot for the day. Leaving around 5:30 a.m. and getting to the hill between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Eventually, leaving the hill at 3 p.m. making it back at 7:30 p.m.
There is no better cure for being stressed or feeling burnt out then doing something you love to do and being surround by the scenery of the mountains.
Alberta weather can be unpredictable. At this time of year, you never know what you are going to get it could be raining, snowing or sunny and warm. If you love winter fun don’t miss out on what could be the last big snow dump the mountains get this year.
