Sustainability at NAIT
NAITSA’s sustainability week is quickly approaching. From March 24- March 28 the committee has set up a booth in the CAT building to participate in variety of fun activities.
- March 24
- Scavenger Hunt at 10:00 a.m. in the South Lobby.
- March 25
- Pollinator Projects: Bee Hotel, Beeswax Wraps & Lip Balm in CAT248. Use your skills in architecture to build your very own bee hotel or create lip balm and even a reusable food wrap.
- Owl Book Swap: Nourishing Reads. Celebrate Nutrition Month and Women’s History Month with a chance to share your top books promoting healthy living.
- March 26
- Speaker Panel at 12:00 p.m. in room X107. Join to hear how two local companies, Jack59 and Change Toothpaste, built their businesses on sustainability.
- March 27
- “Dig In” A Hands-On Planting Experience in CAT248. Learn about the basics of gardening and discover new plants. Perfect for beginners looking for advice and seasoned gardeners who just want to polish their fundamentals.
- March 28
- Sip & Refill from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. located outside of the NAITSA office (O-108). Bring your own mug to grab a free coffee on a break or before class.
- Flowerpot Painting with Peer Support at 10:30 a.m. in CAT182. Flex your creative muscle and join NAITSA to design you own flowerpot.
- Those who attend the most events will be entered to win a gift basket, the basket includes soap, toothpaste, a reusable bag, towel and so much more.
