1 City, 2 Rings… who will be crowned champion?

2020 has been a crazy year and the sports world has felt it. From league shutdowns to season restarts, sports teams and fans alike have been through it all. However for some cities in the North American sports leagues, 2020 may have been a blessing in disguise.

Tonight is game 6 of the World Series and for the two teams playing in it, they are trying to win their city’s 2nd championship of the year. The LA Dodgers look to accomplish that feat tonight, against the Tampa Bay Rays. Up 3-2 in the series, the Dodgers are hoping to lift the trophy tonight, while the Rays look to force a game 7.

The Dodgers look to join the LA Lakers who won the NBA championship about 2 weeks ago, while the Rays look to join the Tampa Bay Lighting who won the Stanley Cup almost a month ago. Now most fans dream of their hometown winning just one championship, but in 2020, a year that will never be forgotten (one that most people would probably like to forget), 2 rings for your city in the same year, has to be something you and your city will cherish for the rest of your lives, as well as being remembered forever, as one of the greatest sports years, of all time.
