St. Albert Borealis Lights are open for the holiday season

By Alicia Victoor on November 26, 2024

St. Albert was lit up on November 22 as the Borealis Lights opened up for the 24-25 season. The drive-through light experience is the best way to stay cozy and warm in your car while taking in all the beautiful lights and displays.

The Borealis Lights is a Christmas drive-thru light display in the Kinsmen RV Park in St. Albert located just 5 minutes off Anthony Henday Drive.
The Wrap-O-Matic is one of the many light displays and makes up a small portion of the 800,000 twinkling holiday lights used.
This is one of the two light tunnels featured throughout the drive, it takes about 20-25 minutes to drive through all of the displays as you go 3km/hr.
This 85-foot light-up tree is one of the new additions to the displays this year and features 57,000 animated lights.
The Borealis Lights run from November 22nd to January 5th giving you lots of time to come out and see for yourself!
A portion of every ticket sold will go directly to charities supported by the St. Albert Kinsmen Club. In 2023, $27,000 was raised to support Kinsmen charities.
This is a high-volume event so it is recommended to visit the lights during the week, to avoid weekend crowds and long wait times.
As you drive through the lights and displays an exclusive radio station is provided so that you can listen to Holiday favorites!
Tickets are priced at $33 for standard up to 9-passenger vehicles. $55 for limo or passenger vans for up to 16 passengers. Discounts are also offered to post-secondary students and seniors.
Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Sunday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
