NAITSA releases official election results

NAITSA’s election results have been released, and most council members were re-elected.
Lilly Houcher was re-elected as president, Danielle Libunao will return as VP academic and Teaira Current was re-instated as VP internal.
The new face joining NAITSA’s executive council is Vladyslav Bondarchuk, who is now the VP external.
“It was pretty stressful, you always have to hope for the best but prepare for the worst, you never know what’s gonna happen for results, and yeah, just honestly very very grateful it’s all over and behind us now,” said Lilly Houcher, the re-elected president of the NAITSA executive council.
The election had a voter turnout of 15.4 per cent. Of the 15,835 eligible voters, 2,441 voted.
“I just want to say thank you to all the students that came out to vote and you know show their support for whichever candidate. I think it’s so important to get your voice out there and make it heard,” said Teaira Current, the re-elected VP internal.
NAITSA says the new council will go into effect on May 1.
