NAIT Ooks will be hosting Men’s Volleyball Nationals

The Ooks will play host to the CCAA Men’s Volleyball Nationals for the first time in the school’s history, starting March 11. Eight teams from across the country will take part in the tournament.
“It always puts NAIT on the map, a lot of places around the country don’t know where it is, but when you are hosting nationals you get to know where that is,” said Jordan Richey, NAIT Ooks Athletic Director. “We’re really proud to showcase NAIT, and its facilities, and its teams.”
The men’s volleyball team heads into the national tournament with a 14-5 regular season record. As hosts, the Ooks will receive a bye into the national tournament.
“We’re really the only team in the country that knows where we will be at the end of the season, so the last year and a half has been a lot of preparing for nationals specifically,” said men’s volleyball veteran Jacob Ritz.
Nationals will take place March 11-14 at NAIT. The Ooks’ first game will be on Wednesday, March 11. The time and opponent are still to be determined.
