NAIT NewsWatch – January 29, 2021

The winter 2021 NewsWatch season started this last week, with Cassidy Shandro and Zach Marks heading the anchor desk! We cover many fabulous stories such as:

• The Bissell Centre is in desperate need of assistance this winter due to low temperatures and COVID-19 rules. Scarlet Bjornson has been leading the charge to ensure the homeless of Edmonton have a place to stay warm and safe.
• How the Alley Kat Brewery has been supporting AJHL teams. They have partnered with the Sherwood Park Crusaders, Whitecourt Wolverines and the Olds Grizzlys to make special 6-packs branded with team logos. One dollar from each 6-pack sold is donated to the respective team.
• We also take a look at the brand new ice wall set up by the Alpine Club of Canada. The towering attraction is so popular that it is currently planned to be an annual event.
