Born and raised in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Brendan had an interest in the world and stories around him thanks to his secular and worldly parents. He moved to Edmonton in 2012 where he has lived and worked before pursuing television broadcasting at NAIT. He's been a passionate advocate for the health and justice of gender and sexual minorities while he's been involved with the Edmonton Men's Health Collective and a proudly out member of Edmonton'S LGBTQ+ community. He's outspoken about the value of harm reduction and how it can save lives.
In his spare time he enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, consuming news media and current events, listening to music and playing the latest Legend of Zelda game. At the end of a long day he likes to cozy up with a friendly cat or dog and a mug of hot chocolate.
